Blood Beneath the Water

As Alexander stepped closer, another detail caught his attention.

Water spread across the polished marble.

At first glance, it seemed ordinary.

Then he noticed a faint red color moving through it.

His expression hardened.

Slowly, he crouched down and touched the liquid.

Blood.

Fresh blood.

His heart immediately sank.

"Elena, who did this?"

She remained silent.

The fear in her eyes told him everything he needed to know.

Someone inside the mansion was hurting her.

Someone powerful enough to make her afraid to speak.

Before Alexander could continue questioning her, the sound of heels echoed from above.

A woman appeared at the top of the staircase.

Elegant.

Confident.

Holding a glass of whiskey.

Vivian Hart.

Alexander's fiancée.

And the person who managed most of the household staff.
