Chapter 1: The Insult Before the Ceremony

The morning began badly.

Students gathered outside the auditorium preparing for the ceremony.

Families filled the parking lot.

Photographs were taken.

Laughter echoed everywhere.

Yet Emily felt none of the excitement.

As she adjusted her graduation cap, a familiar voice interrupted her.

A man approached and grabbed the cap from her hands.

His expression carried the same contempt she had seen countless times before.

"Honestly, you're never going to wear it."

The comment drew uncomfortable silence from nearby students.

Emily lowered her eyes.

The humiliation stung.

Not because she believed the insult.

But because it came from someone who had spent years trying to convince her she wasn't good enough.

For a moment, tears threatened to fall.

Then she remembered the USB drive hidden inside her pocket.

And suddenly, everything changed.

Today wasn't his day.

Today was hers.
